What's your favourite film?

My favourite movie of all time is "The colour of paradise" which is by an Iranian film director called Mayid Mayidí. The first time I saw this movie I just cried and not only  because of its moving story but also because it was beautifully made. Obviously, I will not tell you what the movie is about, but I recommend it to anybody who wants to see an excellent movie. 

The director is Muslim, so according to their religion any representation of God's creation is forbidden. That makes a film (an the rest of the Muslim art) so complex. We are so accustomed to seeing another kind of the representation of nature, feelings and world. In Iranian films, the symbols are very important, and despite the fundamental restrictions, the movie gives us the opportunity to interpret it. And this act is magic for me.
